Up until now, we've tried to avoid buying anything too plastic-y (ugly and not fitting with our home aesthetic) for Miles to play with...there will be years of Transformers, GI Joe or whatever the kids are into for us to look forward to in years to come, so why start too early with the junk?! Mum started to grow tired of dangling scarves and miscellaneous objects in front of Miles for him to swat at and gave in, investing $25 in a portable activity bar that clips onto his bouncer/pram/car seat...
Best $25 spent so far. Miles loves his new/ugly toy and is happy to entertain himself, meaning mum has the chance to get a few things done without interruption and Miles gets to practice his smiles. Photos below were taken within a minute of putting him in the bouncer with his new toy for the first time...
