Fever (a plague on this house!)

It's been a particularly miserable week at Foucart St.  We've had our first family illness.

Miles had a fever and developed spots on Friday/Saturday, resulting in a trip after hours to the hospital to get checked out.  Diagnosis? Thankfully, not chickenpox or measles as we suspected, but a virus.  Spots got even worse on Monday, and thousands covered him from head to toe like angry red insect bites. At least they weren't itchy!

I woke up on Tuesday morning feeling especially lousy.  Ended up spending much of Tuesday and Wednesday in bed with a fever (but no spots!) -- easier said than done when you are home alone and looking after a little fella that's feeling much better and keen to play.

Glenn was away for work and also feeling lousy.  Spent Australia Day in bed and is now sporting a mild covering of spots.

A sickly week all round, but I'm pleased to report that Miles's spots have all but gone (and he's back to his usual happy self), Glenn's spots are no worse, and we're all feeling much better.
