The 'Fipple'
When times get tough in the Ripper Elliott household and nothing else will work, there's only one thing that can rescue the situation...the 'fipple' (aka finger-nipple substitute). Best administered by Dad, the fipple is bound to calm down the grumpiest of boys. Temporarily, at least.
