International Playboy Part 7 - Annupuri antics

Dad and Miles were up at 6.30, playing with Miles's new toy cups for ages - it's a new favourite (thanks Aunty Yuumi and Uncle Jess).  We headed out to rent our ski gear, then over to cousin Levi's house where Nanny Rob was making banana and blueberry pancakes.  Once we'd scoffed a few of those, it was time for the big kids to hit the slopes.  Levi and Miles stayed with Rob and Yuumi, which would be our first babysitting experience for Miles, enough to make his mum a little misty eyed briefly.  Miles, on the other hand, had so much fun he shat himself.

It was great to get back on the slopes - the first time in two years for Jess after his knee repair job, first in seven for the Ripper-Elliotts.  The snow was pretty early-season and would have been fresher the day before, but it was decent enough and soft and deep on the piste edges.  We (except Jess) were fairly scratchy for the first run, but found our groove quickly.  There were no major incidents, just Glenn briefly taking out some of the local foliage in one stack.

Had a great spicy ramen for a late lunch and rounded off the day with a fantastic dinner  of nabe, cooked by Yuumi. Very tasty indeed. The temperanillo wasn't too bad, either.
