Every year, I get invited to numerous lunches, drinks and other functions during the festive season. Being on maternity leave, invitations this year were rare and totalled just 3. This was a common complaint from all the mums in our group, so we took matters into our own hands and organised our own work Chirstmas party, complete with all the festive trimmings -- glazed ham, scotch eggs, trifle, and plenty of Veuve...perfect. Celebrations stretched from lunch into after hours, with some of the menfolk joining us after for a drink or two.
Foucart St was road tested by 10 eager 8 month olds in various states of mobility -- dishwasher activated, chairs moved, the stairs proved a particularly popular attraction, and plenty of food ground into the floorboards. I'd say it was a success.
Miles was so busy posing for a photo that he didn't notice the elf in the background commando crawl past, grab his drink bottle and pass out at the foot of the stairs...
