International Playboy Part 9 - Sayonara Niseko

Miles kept his mum up half the night teething while a blizzard raged outside. It continued after daddy and Miles got up at 5.30, but everyone managed to stay warm and cosy playing games and eating cheesy toast while mum caught up on some much needed zzzzzs.  Glenn had to take the Tarago to get some petrol in Kutchan, the first opportunity to stretch its legs in the snow without precious family cargo aboard.  Got it a little sideways on a few corners just for fun (despite the AWD doing its best to rein things in).

The property company did their check and thankfully didn't notice where the car's roof racks had been run into the faulty garage door as it spontaneously descended during entry into the garage the day before.  We said our goodbyes to the Niseko Rippers who had looked after us so nicely, but who we'll see in Oz in April next year.  The blizzard continued for most of the bus trip to the airport, which was nearly twice as long as planned after we had to detour around an accident.  Miles took the opportunity for an accident of his own while we were stuck in traffic, then amazingly, went for it again on the plane just as the seatbelt sign lit up at the start of our descent into Tokyo.

It was good to get back to the Conrad for a quick Miles nap before we hauled him out again (he really wanted to stay in his little tent fast asleep) for dinner.  We went back to Shinbashi and eventually found a decent place with grilled steak and chicken, soba noodle salad and good beer as always.  Black mark for the trio of what we think was fermented cuttlefish...inedible!

Off to bed early for a (hopefully) good night of rest prior to our night on the plane back to Sydney.

A couple of final Levi Kaito shots...handsome fella

...the same can't be said about the cuttlefish (?) dinner...
